Sea Calm by Langston Hughes

How still,
How strangely still
The water is today.
It is not good
For water
To be so still that way.

  2. There hythm and there was figurative language, the author was explaining how still the water is. i liked how in this poem the author was telling how still the water is. the author made it sound like the water isn't usally still.

  7. we liked it!yes there is a ryhme because today and way both have the ay sound.no it does not have figurative language because it does not compare 2 things.from what you get from it is that it is still and calm.we liked it because it had a ryhme and it was very calm and not exciting!

  8. we loved it.... and there was a rhyme. it did not have figurtive language, there were trying to express that water is too calm and still. what we loved about this poem is that it expressed feelings.

  14. The poem has alliteration and two rhyming words so no real rhyme scheme. there was a certain rhythym. There was no figurative language. It was a good poem because it was about the ocean.

  19. There wasn't much of a rhyme except for "way" and "today". There wasn't figuravtive language. What I liked most about the poem was the way the poet talked about the ocena, and the way he described it.
